MENA Newswire News Desk: Apple has unveiled a new lineup of AirPods, introducing the AirPods 4 and enhancing the AirPods Pro 2 with groundbreaking hearing health features. The new AirPods 4 is set to be Apple’s most advanced wireless headphone yet, boasting an open-ear design and the option of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The lineup also includes an expanded color range for AirPods Max and new hearing protection capabilities for AirPods Pro 2.
Pre-orders for AirPods 4 and AirPods Max are open now, with availability starting on September 20. The AirPods Pro 2 will receive new software updates this fall, providing users in over 100 countries with hearing health tools like active Hearing Protection, a scientifically validated Hearing Test, and a clinical-grade Hearing Aid feature.
John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, said, “With AirPods 4, users can experience the most advanced audio performance in an open-ear design. AirPods Pro is also introducing industry-first features to assist those with hearing loss.”
The new AirPods 4 offers up to 24 hours of battery life, enhanced sound quality, and a comfortable fit built from data gathered from millions of ear shapes. With the addition of ANC in the open-ear model, users will benefit from reduced environmental noise while maintaining situational awareness with transparency modes.
AirPods Max now comes in five new colors – midnight, starlight, blue, purple, and orange—and features USB-C charging for added convenience. Meanwhile, AirPods Pro 2 will lead the market with its all-in-one hearing health experience, allowing users to conduct hearing tests and adjust their devices accordingly.
According to Apple, 1.5 billion people worldwide are affected by hearing loss. The new software features on the AirPods Pro 2 aim to address this issue by offering tools for prevention, hearing tests, and hearing assistance, revolutionizing the way users manage their auditory health.
The AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2 are part of Apple’s continued commitment to creating environmentally friendly products. The latest models are made from 100% recycled materials, aligning with Apple’s goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.
